Curriculum Designed for Your Child's Development

Preschoolers love to Move, Run, Jump, Play Games, Sing Songs, Imagine, Create, Ask Questions, and Tell Stories. These elements are the WORK of a child!

The HappyFeet curriculum is designed to engage your child's rapidly developing imagination. Our fitness, self-concept, and soccer developmental benchmarks are hidden inside songs, stories, games, and adventures - all centered around a soccer ball, "Bob the Bobcat"!

Each child gets to "tame" their Bobcat soccer ball and teach him lessons. Our soccer players love getting to teach Bob the Bobcat their favorite soccer moves - and how to be a good listener and good friend!
Your child may think he or she just went to the jungle, outer space, or an enchanted castle - but we know they were making small steps toward stronger fitness, self-concept, and soccer skills!

Each of our HappyFeet sessions contain key elements to guide your child:

Themes and Adventures (Trip to the Zoo)
Big Idea Character Skills (Helping Others)
Fitness Skills (Balancing on One Foot)
Soccer Skills (Pull-Backs)

The BIG Picture

“If the child is not learning the way you are teaching, then you must teach in the way the child learns.”

Rita Dunn

“For a small child there is no division between playing and learning; between the things he or she does ‘just for fun’ and things that are ‘educational.’ The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play.”

Penelope Leach

“Those things you learn without joy you will forget easily.”

Finnish

"The work of education is divided between the teacher and the environment.”

Maria Montessori

“Stand aside for a while and leave room for learning, observe carefully what children do, and then, if you have understood well, perhaps teaching will be different from before.”

Loris Malaguzzi

“You cannot make people learn. You can only provide the right conditions for learning to happen.”

Vince Gowmon
